Current Theega is a dream come true for me, says Nageswara Reddy
Manchu Manoj's upcoming film Current Theega is something of a dream come true for director G Nageswara Reddy and he confesses that he has been planning to work with the actor for a long time now. "After working with Vishnu Manchu in Dhenikaina Reddy, I waited for nearly two years to get a chance to direct Manchu Manoj.Thankfully,we found a wonderful story and a fabulous team to work with on this project," G Nageswara Reddy admits. He minces no words when it comes to praising Manoj. "Manchu Manoj's USP lies in his youth appeal, apart from inheriting his father's versatility in portraying different characters. He has even choreographed three action sequences in the film, which will be another stand out feature," the director says.
Having worked with both Vishnu Manchu and Manoj,we wonder if he has noticed any difference between the siblings and Nageswara Reddy says, "Vishnu is very calm and composed whereas Manchu Manoj is a livewire on the sets. His energy is truly incredible." Current Theega, which has been produced by Vishnu Manchu under 24 Frames Factory banner, also stars Rakul Preet and Jagapathi Babu. "I've worked with Jagapathi Babu on four films as an assistant director and he's truly a director's actor. The entire film is based on Jagapathi Babu and Manoj's confrontation,"Nageswara Reddy shares.
The film is all set to hit the screens on October 17 and Nageswara Reddy is confident that it'll be a big hit. "I consider Mohan Babu as the first audience and I could see in his eyes that he was quite happy with the film. He had reacted in a similar way when Dhenikaina Reddy was about to release and I'm sure that Current Theega too will be a huge hit," he says.
