Sweet Kajal spends a day with top cricketer

Kajal is one of the craziest actresses of the southern film industry. 1+ crore league actress has been basking in the success brought by her recent release Govindudu Andari Vaadele.

Kajal however, shared an interesting news about her. She tweeted she enjoyed a day with a cricketer. Okay, please do not read between the lines and come to naughty conclusions.

The actress spent a days time with senior cricketer Sunil Gavaskar and she also tweeted a picture of hers with the cricketer. The actress traveled in a flight along with the cricketer and its learnt that the actress had a good time (maybe learning about cricket fundas?) with the cricketer!

CLT20: Narine reported again, suspended from bowling in final

Hyderabad: In a major blow to Kolkata Knight Riders just after winning the semifinal against Hobart Hurricanes, their Caribbean off-spinner Sunil Narine was today reported for the second time for a suspect illegal bowling action and he will not be eligible to bowl in the CLT20 final on
Saturday, the organisers of the tournament said.

“Kolkata Knight Riders player Sunil Narine will not be eligible to bowl in the Oppo CLT20 final following a report on his suspected illegal bowling action,” a media advisory from CLT20 said.

“Mr Narine was reported for a second time in as many matches over a suspected illegal bowling action during this evening’s Oppo Champions League Twenty20 semi-final game against the Hobart Hurricanes at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad,” it said.

The organisers said that after all video evidence of the match was taken into account, on-field umpires Rod Tucker and S Ravi along with third umpire Vineet Kulkarni felt that there was a flex action in Narine’s elbow beyond the acceptable limit when bowling during the match.

“Under the CLT20 Suspected Illegal Bowling Action policy, if a player receives a report while on the warning list, the player shall be suspended from bowling for the remainder of the tournament and from bowling in any matches organised by the BCCI until such date as he is cleared.

“Mr Narine is suspended from bowling, but may continue to be selected to play in matches, however he will not be entitled to bowl,” the advisory said.

“The team will be advised to send the player to the SRMC (Sri Ramachandra Medical College) for testing as per the testing protocol set by the ICC. SRMC is accredited by the ICC as a testing center for suspected illegal bowling action.”

Narine was first reported on September 29 during the Kolkata Knight Riders match played against the Dolphins on the same ground here by on-field umpires Anil Chaudhary and Chettithody Shamshuddin along with third umpire Kumar Dharamsena.

The West Indian took 1/24 from his quota of four overs in KKR’s semifinal win over Hobart Hurricanes by seven wickets here today to book a berth in the final to be played in Bangalore on Saturday.

Incheon: The Indian men's kabaddi team clinched its seventh successive gold medal at the Asian Games after coming from behind to beat a spirited Iran 27-25 in the summit clash here today.

The Indian team, which has been winning gold ever since the sport was introduced on the Asiad roster in 1990, was given a massive scare by Iran, who had finished runners-up inthe 2010 edition as well.

The Iranians took a massive 10-point lead in the first 20 minutes before the Indians got their act together to nullify the deficit and edge past in the closing few minutes of the match.

In fact, the Indians managed to take a lead only in the 37th minute of the match.

Hyderabad: Chennai Super Kings stormed into their second Champions League T20 final with a crushing 65-run victory over Kings XI Punjab here today

Chennai bowlers wreaked havoc to dismiss Punjab for 117 in 18.2 overs after Dwayne Bravo hammered 67 balls off 39 balls and took his team to an imposing 182 for seven in the second semifinal at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Mohit Sharma (2/14), Ashish Nehra (2/9), Pawan Negi (2/28) and Suresh Raina (2/10) did the damage as Punjab’s batting came a cropper.

2010 Champions Chennai now face reigning IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders in the final on Saturday.

The contest between Chennai and Punjab was billed as the battle of two batting heavyweights. Chennai lived up to the expectation but Punjab failed miserably.

It became a one-side affair when Punjab collapsed to 61 for seven in the 11th over, needing an improbable 122 runs off the last 54 balls.

Wickets kept on falling regularly after Punjab lost opener Virender Sehwag in the first over. Glenn Maxwell too fell cheaply, ending his lean run in the competition.

It was an unexpected batting collapse from Punjab, who came into the match as the only unbeaten side alongside Knight Riders.

Earlier, Bravo got good support from Faf du Plessis (46 off 33) to take Chennai to a challenging score.

Parvinder Awana (4/30) and Akshar Patel (2/30) were the pick of the Punjab bowlers. Awana’s hat-trick almost went unnoticed in the innings.

Punjab had things under control for the first six overs after skipper George Bailey decided to put the opposition in.

Fast bowlers Anureet Singh and Awana impressed with the new ball against a dangerous Chennai batting unit.

A quick incoming delivery rattled the stumps of Dwayne Smith (14) while his opening partner Brendon McCullum (6) played to rash shot to be caught at mid-wicket off Thisara Perera.

Raina (6) started his innings with a delightful drive through the cover before he pulled a sharp catch to Bailey at mid-on, leaving Punjab at 41 for three in six overs.

RAINA's Love Story started AGAIN!

Chennai: Indian cricket team's dashing left hander batsman and incredible fielder Suresh Raina had earlier dated former Aviation Minister Praful Patel's daughter Poorna Patel. We do not know what went wrong between them but the two were silent for longer than usual.

Now after a gap it is learnt that the ex-lovers have rekindled their love story and are seeing each other again.

It was during IPL season 1 that Poorna Patel created quite a furor among media circles by diverting direction of an air plane (dad being aviation minister) just to meet her boy friend and cricketer Suresh Raina. In fact it was the IPL that brought the two together.

SAEED AJMALl's ban could mean the death of the doosra

It's a hard life being a bowler. It is especially so these days because pitches are flatter, boundaries are shorter, and bats are bigger. Changes in the white ball versions of the game power plays and free hits, for example -- have all been to feed and fatten the sheltered batsman, while restricting the diet of the deprived bowler. As a result, averages have climbed higher and run-rates have improved. Yes, cricket is becoming even more of a batsman's game.

Australia stops slide, beats South Africa

Australia stops slide, beats South Africa
HARARE, Zimbabwe: Australia beat South Africa by 62 runs in their triangular series one-day international on Tuesday as Mitchell Marsh served up a match-winning display with bat and ball.

Marsh changed the game with his 86 from only 51 balls with seven sixes to lift Australia to 282-7 batting first. He then took two wickets as South Africa fell to 220 all out, despite 126 by Faf du Plessis.

Du Plessis fought a lone battle in the chase with the next highest South African score 24 by Ryan McLaren. Du Plessis might have threatened the total but stood on his own stumps in the 42nd over to be out hit wicket.

Marsh took 2-23, Glenn Maxwell 2-22 and Mitchell Johnson 2-30 as Australia claimed a bonus-point win to qualify for the final.

Australia had lost two in a row and its latest defeat was a three-wicket loss to minnow Zimbabwe on Sunday, the first time it has lost to the Zimbabweans in 31 years.

Without captain Michael Clarke, who returned home with injury, Australia was put in to bat by the unbeaten South African team.

Left-hander Hughes struck his 85 off 92 balls but after the middle order of Steve Smith (36), Glenn Maxwell (2) and George Bailey (32) failed to take control, Marsh did.

The powerful allrounder finished with five fours to go with his seven sixes, and his acceleration saw Australia take 101 runs off its last 10 overs.

Spinner Aaron Phangiso took 2-39 for the best return among South Africa's bowlers. Steyn returned 1-64 in nine overs and took some punishment from Marsh in the 47th over. Marsh hit Steyn's first ball over long-off, the second over wide long-on, and the third disappeared straight over Steyn's head in a 21-run over.

Ind vs Eng: We played a perfect game today, says MS Dhoni

Ind vs Eng: We played a perfect game today, says MS Dhoni
Birmingham: India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni feels his side played a "perfect game" today as the visitors thrashed England by nine wickets in the fourth One-Dayer to take an invincible 3-0 lead in the five-match series here.
Opting to bowl, India first restricted England to a modest 206 and then overwhelmed the target in 30.3 overs to record their third consecutive victory in the ODI series at the the Edgbaston, in what turned out to be yet another lopsided contest.
"Considering the first game, our performance only got better," Dhoni said at the post-match presentation.
"There is a tendency to lax after win, but we only got better and today was a perfect game," he said.
England captain Alastair Cook feels India outplayed the hosts in all departments of the game.
"A very tough day. The sport turns change so quickly. It is frustrating not to play to your potential," he said.
"We were going to bat first anyway. India certainly batted better, fielder better, and bowled better. It is always tough to lose three games in a row and in a manner that we lost," Cook said.
Cook said with the 2015 World Cup a few months away, England need to pull up their socks to be a contender for the coveted trophy.
"There is a World Cup a few months away and you have to show you are hungry. We just need to look at ourselves and improve. There is potential but we need to improve," he said.
He also praised Moeen Ali for his attacking 67 off 50 balls in terms of adversity.
"Moeen batted very well. He was the only guy to have a good day today. We are pretty clear on the personnel we need, but if people do not sore runs, or take wickets.. they certainly have the potential.. They need to turn up," Cook said.
Man-of-the-match Rahane, on his part, credited his bowling mates to set up the series-clinching win for India.
"Feels really great when you get a 100 and the team wins.
Credit goes to the bowlers as well for setting up the match," he said.
"I was batting well after the first few games and I was focusing to stay there. Really happy for Dhawan, the way he batted was special. We just wanted to enjoy the game. It's a great challenge to open, you have to prepare your mind," he signed off.
"The seamers bowled in the right areas and it was crucial because I thought it wouldn't turn much. The fast bowlers set it up, because they took wickets and when the spinners came the batting was under pressure."
Dhoni praised young Ajinkya Rahane, who came in to open the batting in place of injured Rohit Sharma and scored his maiden ODI century with a 100-ball 106-run knock.
Opening the innings, Rahane and an woefully out-of-form Shikhar Dhawan (97 not out) put on 183 runs for the first wicket to set the platform for the victory.
"The openers, if they can face 10 to 12 overs, it gives us a platform. It was good to see Dhawan back in form. Rahane was always someone who was third in line for the opening slot and he has made the most out of it. He is a good timer which makes it slightly easy for him. It's a spot that suits him.
Rohit is a very talented guy and we are not making any decisions (on opening) as yet. I feel a lot of credit goes to the seniors I played under and the youngsters," Dhoni said.
