Its been tough times for Prince and Super Star Mahesh Babu. His experimental movie 1 Nenokkadine though won accolades never really made any impact at the box office and now his next after 1, Aagadu too failed to make a comeback for the actor.

The the two results showed one thing very clearly. Both the movies are minus actor Prakash Raj and this prompted Mahesh to take a call on his upcoming movies!

Mahesh Babu now realizes (read believes) Prakash Raj to be sentimentally lucky for his movies. And all of his successful movies including Raja Kumarudu, Murari, Okkadu, Pokiri, Dookudu, Businessman and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu have the senior actor doing important role. Considering both to be good buddies in the realms of real life too he now wants

his directors to have Praksh Raj do an important role in his films.

 And we have no doubts Prakash Raj will have a crucial role in the movie with Koratala Shiva which is gearing up start rolling soon from 9th October.

Aagadu collects 30.17cr at the end of the week: AndhraNewsfeed

Prince Mahesh Babu recently released action movie ‘Aagadu’ under the direction of Srinu Vaitla has collected a share of Rs.30.17 crores at the end of the week world wide. The movie has collected Rs.19.7 crores in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states and world wide which includes Karnataka, Rest of India and overseas Rs.30.17 crores which is average compare to other movies. Actress Tamannah is played lead role in the movie and Shruthi Haasan has done item number and film is produced under the banner 14 Reels Entertainment and music is composed by Thamman.

The successful combination of Mahesh Babu and Sreenu Vaitla is back ​once again to entertain the audience with Aagadu. Tamannah is cast as the female lead, and 14 Reels are the producers. After a huge round of promotions, the film has opened in over 2000 screenstoday. Let’s now see how the film is.

Story:-
             ​​Encounter ​specialist ​Shankar (Mahesh Babu) is posted to a small town called Bukkapattanam. The entire area is dominated by a ​dreaded don called Damodar (Sonu Sood),​ who runs illegal businesses by threatening the poor. Shankar decides to take ​things in his hands, and starts ​planning ​Damodar’s decline. ​Midway through, he comes to know about a shocking truth about Damodar, which relates back to his family.
What is that truth ? How does Shankar manage to destroy Damodar​ and his empire ? and Where does Saroja(Tamannah) and Delhi Suri(Brahmanandam) fit in this entire set up ?. To know answers to all these questions, you need to watch the film on big screen.

Plus Points:-
                     Aagadu is an out and out Mahesh Babu film. Right from the word go, it ​i​s ​Mahesh’s histrionics which dominate the show completely. As usual, Mahesh looks extremely dashing, and carries out his role of ​a cop supremely well. The way he goes about his character, and blends himself into the script​,​ is quite amazing. Interesting factor to watch out for is the fun e​​lement that he brings in his character, which is filled with punch dialogues and satires.

Tamannah looks gorgeous as the village belle, and is a perfect jodi for Mahesh Babu. First half of the film is highly entertaining, and brings in a lot of fun. Shruthi Haasan’s song is a special bonus to the masses as she oozes ​sensuous charm and glamour. Brahmanandam brings in decent laughs in the second half, and his dance episode in particular is quite hilarious. ​

Nasser ​is superb as the police constable​,​​ and his scenes with Mahesh and Vennela Kishore have come out quite well. ​S​ongs ​are entertaining and ​have also been shot well​. RajendraPrasad, Posani and Ashish Vidhyardhi are decent in their respective roles.

​M​inus Points:-
                         As expected, even Aagadu has the same trademark Sreenu Vaitla set up and comedy. The entire second half has been spoofed on his earlier films like Dookudu. Once the so called twists are unleashed, the film becomes predictable.

​Climax of the film is quite simple, and is just hurried on to us. ​​Once again, story and narration of the film is routine, and resembles Sreenu Vaitla’s trademark style. ​Sonu Sood’s negative character is not elevated much, and does not look menacing on screen.

Technical Aspects:-
                                  Music of the film is a huge plus,​ as Thaman has given superb tunes which go with the flow of the film. All the songs have been shot richly and look superb on screen. Dialogues of the film need a special mention. There are enough punches and satires in the ​entire ​film, which will be liked by ​everyone.

Camerawork is quite good. The visuals which were shown in trailers, look even more better on screen. Production values are good as the makers have spen​t lavishly for the film. Sreenu Vaitla ​must be credited for showcasing Mahesh Babu in a super light. He etches an entertaining character for Mahesh, and extracts superb performance from him.

Verdict:-
                ​With Aagadu, Mahesh Babu once again proves his super stardom. Right from the word go, it is Mahesh, Mahesh and only Mahesh throughout the film. Even though this film has routine similarities to Vaitla’s previous flicks, entertaining comedy in the first half coupled with some decent music makes this film a good ​family entertainer.

Mahesh's aagadu superstar express launched

With less than a week to go for the theatrical release of Mahesh Babu's Aagadu, the filmmakers are leaving no stone unturned to create a buzz about the movie. In what is first of it's kind promotional stategy, the producers have flagged off an entire train decorated with posters of Mahesh Babu's Aagadu travelling between Secunderabad and Vishakapatnam.

"SuperFans charge yourself on Sunday to flag off AAGADU EXPRESS. Train will hold AAGADU branding for a month. On Sunday superfans can come to all stations wishing the success of movie. Freebies will be there," posted Anil Sunkar along with the schedule of the train's timings. 

Tamannaah is playing the female lead in the movie billed as an action entertainer. Srinu Vaitla directed the movie jointly produced by Anil Sunkara, Ram and Gopiachanta under the 14 Reels Entertainment banner.

CENSOR members impressed with AAGADU: Andhra Newsfeed

Prince Mahesh Babu’s forthcoming hilarious action entertainer ‘Aagadu’ finished all formalities for its release.

The movie under the direction of Srinu Vytla has completed its censor screening as well and had gotten ‘U/A certificate” from the censor board.

The movie was screened for the censor members, who it is heard that were impressed with the movie. 

Tamannaah is playing female lead in the movie and Shruthi Haasan is doing item number in the film. The new trailer of Aagadu is showing sizzling hot Tamannaah.

Aagadu is produced under the banner 14 Reels Entertainment and Thaman's music for the movie is already a big hit. Now screens are waiting for the grand release of Aagadu.

POKIRI or BUSINESSMAN 'sequel'

Mahesh and Srinu Vytla's crazy combination movie Aagadu is fast gearing up to meet the release date. Mahesh wrapped up all his work for the movie including his dubbing. The Post Production team is working extra hours to meet up the release date challenges. By next week end the first copy is expected to come out after which it cencor formalities will be called for.

And for Mahesh's next there are so many speculations that he is doing a movie with Shankar or Murugadoss and what not. But we have got some clarity, coming from the horse's mouth actually!

Mahesh said that after Aagadu it will be movie with Koratala Shiva (tentatively considered to title it Kannayya) and then Mahesh also said that there will be a movie with Puri Jagannath. He said only these two are in pipeline and others still at discussion level!

However, he did not tell us about the movie with Puri, but our sources say it could either be a sequel of Businessman or Pokiri! Well, either of these fans would be ecstatic we know!

Eros International will release superstar Mahesh Babu-starrer Telugu actioner "Aagadu" in collaboration with 14 Reels Entertainment Sep 19.
