Bunny Turned Down 'Oka Laila Kosam' ?
First narrated to Allu Arjun?
'Oka Laila Kosam' is written as per the body language of Naga Chaitannya in mind, claims director Vijay Kumar Konda, all the time. But industry talk is that he narrated this story to Allu Arjun after Gundejaari Gallantayyinde released and doing well at box office. In that case, why did Bunny rejected this script?Firstly, Oka Laila Kosam needs a cute hero who could look innocent and at the same time like lover boy. When it comes to Bunny, he looks stylish and hot, but there's nothing like a cute look. Also he won't look like a lover boy for the kind of mass-image he had. As they say, a commercial script should always suit hero's body language, probably Bunny might have rejected that this soft-role will underplay his action-hero image.

Also director Vijay hasn't touched emotions in depth for this role and Bunny has done similar lover-boy kind of character in Iddarammayilatho, albeit that is a different revenge story. Whatever it maybe, even Allu Arjun's presence wouldn't turn this script into a blockbuster for sure. Isn't it?Oka Laila Kosam Complete Movie Review

Oka Laila Kosam : Konda continues his stride
Naga Chaitanya has till date acted in 8 flicks out of which 4 emerged as family entertainers. This year’s success with Manam has been kept low by Auto Nagar Surya. Naga Chaitanya’s career graph has seen many ups and downs. He selected a family subject line for Oka Laila Kosam this time. Chaitu has added another feather in his cap with production roles as well. Blockbuster movie Gunde Jaari Gallantayyindi director Vijay Kumar Konda has once again taken the responsibility to elevate Nag’s heroics. Movie trailers and songs have raised hopes in Akkineni family fans. Normal audience also gathered interest through tunes. Let us go in details of Oka Laila Kosam
Storyline :
After completing his masters degree Karthik (Naga Chaitanya) succeeds in convincing his family for an year’s world tour. 6 months pass away by the time he returns from Paris. Father of Karthik (Suman) tries to instigate responsibilities and insists karthik ti decide about his future in the next Six months. During his deadline period, Karthik starts loving Nandu (Pooja Hegde) from first sight. But Nandu is very traditional. Due to some situations she creates a bad image of Karthik. And surprisingly Nandu had to be closer with Karthik forcibly. Karthik keeps on loving Nandu despite her resistance. What happened to Nandu ? Did Karthik succeed ? Could Nandu understand the depth of karthik’s love? Answers to these questions can be revealed on the screen.
Cast: :Chaitanya looked cute as Karthik. He replicated his romantic hero skills of Em Maaya Chesaave. Even though there is not much of scope in the storyline to prove all his skills, to the extent he justified. He could express, Comedy, sentiment, despair and anguish in his own style. He could be given good marks. Heroine Nandu Hegde seemed too traditional. Her role is quite important one in the movie. She couldn’t justify crux situation acting and may not impress audience. Suman, Shiyaji Shinde, Sudha, Rohini and others have done well as per the specifications given by the director. Ali as usual has given sensible comedy time and has entertained well. Due to this he gets good applause from the audience.
Director Vijay Kumar Konda has once again proved that he is a good dealer of love lines. Story narration aptly indicates Konda’s skills and passion. He dealt with the interval and climax very interestingly. Interval seems to be a pre-climax. He could picturise the feel of the movie perfectly. Anup Rubens has again used his stamp of quality on songs and re-recording. Songs have been the highlight. Anup assisted the director in elevating the standards of the film.Cinematographer Andru has captured the locations well. Editing is just OK. Editor could have given some work to his scissors. A slight drag is felt in the second half. Richness of the film is at par with Annapurna Banner standards.
Vijay could re-establish himself with Oka Laila Kosam after Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyindi’s hit. He could succeed in bringing new talented angles of Chaitu, Anup and Andru. All the three skills have been elevated by Vijay. It is a ‘watch with family’ entertainer. A clean and cool film will be liked by all Akkineni fans.
