Current Teega (Theega) Review - Story

Manchu Manoj's "Current Theega" has been creating a lot of positive buzz in the media ever since it was announced. Directed by "Dhenikaina Ready" fame G Nageswara Reddy, the movie has released in more than 700 cinema halls in 31 countries and has been successful in impressing the viewers.

"Current Theega" is an action thriller, which is loaded with romance, music, dance, emotion and comedy elements. Manchu Manoj has played the hero in the movie, which features Rakul Preet Singh, Sunny Leone and Jagapathi Babu in important roles. Achu Rajamani has composed tunes for the songs of the movie, which have rocked the music lovers.

The Manoj and Rakul starrer is a remake of 2013 Tamil film "Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam", which has already been remade in Kannada as "Adhyaksha". Nageswara Reddy, who penned Telugu story has made several changes in the script to suit the taste of the local audience. He has also added some commercial elements such as high-octane action scenes and an item song featuring Sunny Leone in the film.

Set in a village backdrop, "Current Theega" revolves around the story of a group of wastrels lead by Raju (Manchu Manoj). Raju is in love with school teacher Sunny (Sunny Leone) and he forces her student Kavitha (Rakul Preet Singh) to deliver his love letters and gifts to her. Sunny gets married to someone and Raju is left heartbroken.

Meanwhile, Kavitha's father Shivarama Raju (Jagapathi Babu) arranges for the wedding of his minor daughter, which Raju stops with the help of the police. What happens next will form the crux of the story.

"Current Theega" seems to be garnering mixed reviews from film goers. The audience, who are now watching the film in the theatres, took to their Twitter page to share opinions about the movie.

Storyline:

The plot of the movie is about a small-time village hero and his love story. There is action blended just in the right doze. The main lead played by Rakul has an interesting coverage.

The movie is a perfect entertainer and giving the movie an ‘A’ cert is not at all fair. Sunny Leone’s role was limited as School Teacher and there isn’t any vulgarity around her role and even in her special song.

Highlight:

The action scenes in the movie and the comedy of the movie are the best things. The story has been adapted beautifully for the Telugu audiences. Jagapathi babu is apt in his role as heroine’s father.Manoj, as usual has perfectly balanced his acting for the role. Rakul Preet was charming and the chemistry between Manoj and Rakul was lovely.

Every actor in the movie has done good job. Audience can enjoy the movie till last without any doubt about the ‘A’ cert. Comedy was good and situational.Though Vennela kishore didn’t appear after the interval other comedians had tried their best to keep the comedy active.

Sampoornesh appeared in a single scene and delivered a dialogue in his style, to which the audience were laughing their heads off, not just with Sampoo’s scene but for all the comic scenes in the movie have kept the momentum high. Even Manoj was good with his comedy and well framed dialogues.

Minus Points:

The movie’s certificate of ‘A’ is perhaps keeping the family audience a little away.

Verdict:- Current Theega is a High voltage entertainer- movie is worth watching, not just for once but twice and thrice too.!

high profile pressure on the police in Swetha Basu case?

Swetha Basu Prasad who hit headlines for wrong reasons has been in rescue home ever since court remanded her to get rehab'd.

Even as the investigation on the case is going on, it is learnt that there seems high profile pressure on the police to release the actress from the rescue home. With equally that much pressure from activists on police to reveal the name of the industrialist who was caught along with Swetha in the hotel raid by cops, it can be understood who must be behind the pressure to release her soon.

Young Rebel Star Prabhas is celebrating his brithday today. Born in Chennai on Oct 23,1979, nephew of Rebel Star Krishnam Raju, Prabahs made rapid strides in Tollywood after his debut in 2002 as Eshwar.

It is known that Indo Canadian Porn Star Sunny Leone is making her debut in Tollywood with Manchu Manoj's Current Teega. Film stars Rakul Preet Singh as heroine and Shilpi Sharma in special song under the direction of G.Nageswara Reddy.

Archana is playing the titular role in her upcoming Telugu film Anandini, directed by Nirnayi Pallati. The actress will be seen as an aspiring singer in the film which has the tag line 'the voice of a soul. Talking about the role, Archana says, "It's a very sweet yet intense character. I'm fond of music and I play an aspiring singer who loses both parents in her childhood and is raised by her maternal uncle. How she bucks the odds to pursue her dream of becoming a singer is the crux of the story."

Archana is also shooting for another untitled film directed by Prabhakaran. "The film has five different stories and I play the protagonist in one of those plots where I'm stranded on the national highway and a guy gives me a lift. How we fall in love over a series of events will be depicted in the film," explains Archana, who is a trained Kuchipudi dancer

The curly haired actress has also wrapped up shooting for a Tamil film. "It's a bubbly character and I play a pampered sister of a goon. I fall in love with the hero and the film is about how the protagonist wins me in clash with my brother," signs off Archana.

Ram Charan fulfils kid's wish

Taking a cue from what his 'baabai' Pawan Kalyan the other day, 'abbai' Ram Charan too accomplished the wish of a 10 year old kid who is suffering from brain tumour from quite a time. Charan visited the kid on the request of Pratyusha Foundation and filled smiles on the kid's face.

A 10 year old kid named Rahul was suffering from brain tumor and he is currently undergoing medical treatment with support from Pratyusha Foundation. This is a Hyderabad based charity organization that has list of donors like star-heroine Samantha. As Rahul expressed his wish to meet Mega Powerstar Ram Charan, the organization immediately contacted the actor, for which he obliged and visited the kid the very next hour. Charan's arrival has brought extreme happiness and unlimited smiles on Rahul's face.

The other day Pawan Kalyan visited another critically ill kid Sreeja at a hospital in Khammam, after the girl expressed her desire to meet Pawan. That's really a beautiful human side to visit these ailing kids and fill smiles in their life at least for couple of hours.

Naga Chaitanya in talks for his new film

Riding high with the success of Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya, director Trikoti is now a happy man. Basking in the glory, Trikoti is preparing ground to direct Naga Chaitanya in his next film. The former associate of director Rajamouli share good rapport with Nagarjuna ever since they bonded well on the sets of Rajanna. In fact, Trikoti had narrated a script to Nag sometime back for Chaitanya and Nag apparently liked it. But that didn't materialize for various reasons.

Prabhas's birthday is on October 23. Buzz is that the filmmakers will be releasing a promotional teaser involving Prabhas. However producer Shobu Yarlagadda clarified that there are no plans to release any teaser.

Manoj Manchu joins HudHud relief operations in vizag

Actor Manoj Manchu is in Vishakhapatnam for the last four days, actively involved in the Hud Hud relief operations. He and his 70 others visited the HudHud ravaged city to distribute 7 lakh water packets, 10 tonnes of rice 2 tonnes of pulse, 5 lakh candles, 3 lakh biscuit packets and lot more basic necessities. Sai Yadav son of Srinivas Yadav MLA Sanatnagar and Vijayawada youth wing leader Avinash Devineni followers also went along with Manoj Manchu to support the relief operation.

Over 30 lakh rupees have been spent so far in the relief operations. Manoj always felt very close to vizag. Expected to return to the city of Hyderabad after a 4 day of relief operations Manoj said, "It is an hour of care and support for the displaced families and to create a grass-root help for them, I wish i could stay here for another week do more relief work. But I have to go back because of my pending works. But I will come back here soon to do more work".

The actor's film Current Theega was deferred release because of the HudHud calamity will now be released worldwide on October 31.

Mishap on the sets of Rajinikanth’s Lingaa in hyd

Afreak incident on the sets of Rajinikanth's upcoming film Lingaa brought the film's shooting to a standstill on Friday morning. The film's unit had been filming a song featuring Rajinikanth and Sonakshi Sinha at a studio in the outskirts of Hyderabad when a member of the support staff, Sudarshan,who was working on a set, suffered a fall.

"As a part of the song, a huge set was being erected. Sudarshan was working on the set which is over five floors high when he fell accidentally. He suffered injuries to his legs and was immediately rushed to a hospital nearby,where he's currently undergoing treatment," informed a member of the film's unit.

The doctors treating the young man said that there was no danger to his life. "He is responding well to the treatment and there is no danger to his life. However, he's not able to walk for now since he fell from a height," the doctors told media much to the relief of the filmmakers.
