International Foley artiste(Recording) joins Baahubali team

Special Foley recording for Baahubali in Belgium 

Baahubali is a movie that is being made uniquely with world class standards. Now, once again the film unit is creating a unique name for itself by doing something that has never been done before in Telugu Cinema. 

From today (November 3rd), internationally renowned Foley artiste Phillipe Van Leer will be working for Baahubali for a period of two weeks at the famous Dame Blanche complex in Belgium. The facility and the Foley artiste are highly regarded in Europe and around the world. 

The concept of Foley is relatively unknown among Telugu film lovers. A quick look up in Wikipedia will give you this definition - "Foley is the reproduction of everyday sound effects that are added to film, video, and other media in post-production to enhance audio quality. These reproduced sounds can be anything from the swishing of clothing and footsteps to squeaky doors and breaking glass. The best foley art is so well integrated into a film that it goes unnoticed by the audience".

So in layman's terms, Foley recording will give filmmakers the right ambient sounds and background noises that will go a long way in increasing the authentic feel of a scene. Water sloshing, swords jangling together, footsteps on hard marble, ripple of a cloth in the wind etc. are some of the sounds that Foley aristes try to recreate effectively. 

The recording will go on from the 3rd to the 14th of November . Director S.S. Rajamouli and his team have chosen the Foley artiste along with sound designer P.M. Sateesh to enhance the audio visual experience of Baahubali for the viewers. 

Shooting is currently going on at Ramoji Film City. Prabhas will be seen as the hero in this big budget period drama while Rana Daggubati will be seen in a negative role. Anushka and Tamannaah are going to be seen as the female leads in this big budget Arka Mediaworks production.

Here's a dekko at Prabhas's warrior look in the upcoming period-action-drama being directed by Rajamouli. The makers of the film released the still as a birthday gift to the fans of the rebel star. Prabhas's birthday is on October 23. Buzz is that the filmmakers will be releasing a promotional teaser involving Prabhas. However producer Shobu Yarlagadda clarified that there are no plans to release any teaser.

BUT.....as much as we would all like to see a teaser or another making video, we won't be able to release one soon..I can promise one thing..when we do release the teaser none of you will disappointed !!," posted Shobu on his microblogging site.

'Baahubali' to make a splash at Comic Con in Hyderabad

If you happen to swing by to Comic Con, which begins here Friday, you're likely to be enthralled by some interesting activities and surprises being planned by the team of upcoming Telugu magnum opus "Baahubali".

Comic Con, which will take place at Hitex Exhibition Center, will continue till Sunday.

According to the organisers, the "Baahubali" team will ask fans to dress up as one of the main characters from the film. The makers have already released the look of all the three lead characters.

"The participants will get assured prizes and a winner will be picked based on online response to the pictures of the cosplay. Each participant will receive a fan card on the cosplay and two lucky winners will get a chance to visit the film's set," read a statement.

This content will also be actively promoted on social media. The team will also send two junior artists from the crew, in costumes from the movie.

The first will be a drummer who will go around the open space outside the venue shouting about the forthcoming arrival of the 'King'.

He will be followed by an artist who will be dressed as Baahubali, who will spend time taking pictures with people during the peak hours of the day only.
